To access RSS feeds, you must use an RSS reader reader or an RSS-enabled Web browser (like Mozilla Firefox). There are many free desktop readers available for download online. Additionally, Web sites like Google and Yahoo have readers built into their custom user sites.
- RSS Readers and RSS-enabled Browsers: To subscribe to a feed, from the list above, copy the Web address of the RSS feed to which you want to subscribe, then paste it into your RSS reader or browser's address bar.
- Google: Access Google's custom user site at www.igoogle.com. If you do not already have an iGoogle account, create one using the appropriate link on that page. If you have an account, log into it, click "Add stuff," then click "Add by URL." From the list above, copy the Web address of the RSS feed to which you want to subscribe, then paste it into the space provided. Click the "Add" button to finish.
- Yahoo: Access Yahoo's custom user site at my.yahoo.com. If you do not already have a My Yahoo account, create one using the appropriate link on that page. If you have an account, log into it, click "Add Content," then click "Add RSS by URL.". the list above, copy the Web address of the RSS feed to which you want to subscribe, then paste it into the space provided. Click the "Add" button to finish.
